The
second edition of Eurodance featured 22 artists, some
of them having represented their Country also the year
before. Among them, Luna from Serbia & Montenegro and
Hannah from Estonia. The hot favourites were the Belgian entry, sung by the very popular group Ian Van
Dahl, and the French one, written and produced by one
of the stars of French house music, David Guetta.
For the second successive year
Balkans
proved to be a good factory for dance artists, since
the 2002 edition of the Eurodance Song Festival was won
by another artist coming form a former Yugoslav
County: the Slovene singer Karmen Stavec with her disco-tune entitled "Še
In
Še".
This song was also recorder in English, too with
the title "Upside down". Karmen Stavec performed this
song for the very first time at EMA 2002, the Slovene
selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, where she
placed third (although being the televote's
favourite). She represented Slovenia at the Eurovision
Song Contest 2003 with the song "Na na na na",
but with less success since she placed only 23rd
(among 26 competing Countries)
