A new record number of songs competed in this third
edition of Eurodance: 33 entries. Among them, three
Countries took part to Eurodance for the very first
time: Bulgaria, Hungary and Iceland.
After two eastern European winners, the Eurodance trophy
moved West thanks to Belgium's dance star Jessy with her
trance song entitled "Regardez-moi". This was a new
french version of her first international hit "Look @ me
now", that topped the dance charts all over Europe and
not only.
The
media interest on the competition grew: web sites from
all over Europe covered the event and published news
about the final results.
In this
edition,
Eurodance launched artists
such as
the Croatian group Karma, that then climbed the
Czech and Slovak charts with several hit singles,
the Czech Group Verona and the Hungarian duo Naksi
vs. Brunner, who in the future years will achieve an
international success especially in Germany.
