Winner
of this edition was Natalya Podolskaya, a Belarusian singer who took
part to the 2004 edition of "Fabrika Zvyozd 5" (the Russian "Star
Academy" show). After this appearance, she released her very first
single "Pozdno" which suddenly became a big hit all over the
Country. In 2005 she placed 15th at the Eurovision Song Contest with
"Nobody hurt
no one".
Just two points behind,
Italy placed second with "L'Impazienza" by Danijay, a
rising star on the Italian dance scene. Among
the other partecipants, we remember the song "Un Monde Parfait"
which was on the top of the French charts for more that 3 months and
"Love Me Love Me" sung by Arsenium, former member of the Moldovan
boy-band "O-Zone", famous for the song "Dragostea din tei". Many
European websites followed the competition and radio stations from
Italy and from
France broadcast special shows featuring all the
competing songs.
A
big New Years party was organized in the main square of
Lecce, in southern Italy, where for the whole night
people danced on the rhythm of the Eurodancweb entries.
